AIUB's Commitment to Inclusivity: Expanding Educational Access and Career Opportunities for Economically Disadvantaged Students
The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is dedicated to broadening educational access, including its goal to increase admissions for students from the bottom financial quintile. This initiative aligns with AIUB's commitment to promoting inclusivity and equal opportunity in higher education. Recognizing the financial challenges many talented students face, AIUB aims to extend its support to more students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, providing them with the opportunity to excel academically and professionally.
AIUB has already demonstrated its commitment to student success and career readiness through initiatives such as the AIUB Job Fair 2023. Held on December 9, 2023, the fair brought together 111 national and multinational companies, offering a platform for both students and alumni to explore job opportunities and network with industry leaders. Events like the job fair are essential in supporting AIUB’s mission, as they help bridge the gap between academia and industry, ultimately benefiting all students, including those from financially disadvantaged backgrounds.
As AIUB continues its efforts to increase educational access, its initiatives for economically underprivileged students will also include scholarships, fee waivers, and career support, ensuring that all students have the chance to succeed regardless of financial constraints. Through these efforts, AIUB envisions a more inclusive educational environment that fosters growth and prepares students for meaningful careers.
