The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has achieved remarkable success in the 2024 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), continuing its impressive performance from the past two years. WURI is a prestigious assessment system that evaluates higher education institutions based on their real-world contributions to industry and society. Unlike traditional rankings that focus solely on academic metrics, WURI emphasizes innovative education, research, and societal engagement. Covering 13 diverse categories, WURI offers a comprehensive measure of universities' creative contributions to societal advancement.
In 2024, AIUB excelled in the following categories:
WURI commended AIUB and its leadership for their outstanding performance, especially in light of the intense competition faced this year. The WURI office collected 2,916 cases of innovation from 1,072 global universities and invited 156 university presidents worldwide to evaluate them based on three criteria: innovativeness, implement ability, and impact.
AIUB's rankings are a testament to the institution's continuous efforts and vision for the future. The competition was particularly untense this year, with the number of submitted innovative cases in 2024 tripling compared to last year’s submissions from 423 universities.
