On October 22, 2023, AIUB's IEEE Student Branch hosted a webinar on the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, aimed at empowering students from low-income and lower-middle-income countries with valuable insights on studying in Europe. Led by Dr. Shameem Ahmad and Erasmus representative Mr. Sayed Muhammad Baker, the webinar covered scholarship eligibility, application processes, and essential document preparation. By promoting access to fully funded educational opportunities, this initiative supports AIUB’s commitment to SDG1, helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds secure quality education and future career growth through international exposure.

AIUB Seminar Explores BPO Careers and Freelancing for Economic Empowerment of Low-Income Students, Supporting SDG1
On October 1, 2023, AIUB’s MIS Department held a seminar titled "Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) in the Age of 4IR Technology," focusing on economic opportunities in the freelancing and BPO sectors. Chief Strategy Officer Mr. AEM Kawsarunnabi Talukder provided students with insights on launching BPO careers, freelancing, and government support for skill development. This seminar aligns with SDG1, equipping low-income students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in digital freelancing and reduce poverty through sustainable income streams.
