American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) recognizes the significance of partnerships in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG-17: Partnerships for the Goals. The university has actively forged strategic international collaborations with universities such as Dongshin University in South Korea, Amity University in Uzbekistan, and Adamas University in India. These partnerships aim to strengthen AIUB’s global academic network, facilitate research opportunities, and promote cross-border educational exchanges.
AIUB also engages in regional collaborations, particularly through agreements with institutions like Kathmandu University in Nepal and Fergana Branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies in Uzbekistan. These collaborations support both academic growth and shared SDG efforts, particularly in areas like sustainable energy and environmental protection. AIUB's participation in events like the Bangladesh Education Forum 2023 in Dubai and the 36th AUAP Annual Conference underscores its commitment to fostering cross-sectoral dialogue on SDGs.
In line with SDG-17, AIUB is also dedicated to data gathering for SDG measurement and has supported initiatives on sustainability, including publications and reports on SDGs. The university integrates sustainable practices into its curriculum and community outreach programs, focusing on sustainability literacy among students. Through these actions, AIUB is building vital partnerships across borders and sectors, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable global community.
