SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is dedicated to fostering transparent, inclusive, and accountable governance in line with Sustainable Development Goal 16. AIUB actively collaborates with various stakeholders, ensuring that their voices are heard and integrated into the university's strategic planning.

AIUB adheres to robust anti-corruption and anti-bribery policies, ensuring transparency and fairness in all operations. The university practices academic freedom which includes the freedom of teaching, research, and public discourse for both senior and junior academics.

In terms of public service, AIUB provides expert advice to local, regional, and national governments, offering policy guidance, conducting collaborative research, and engaging in initiatives that address societal challenges such as migration, climate change, and economic development. Moreover, AIUB creates neutral platforms where diverse political stakeholders can come together to discuss pressing issues, fostering dialogue and cooperation. Through these initiatives, AIUB is contributing to building peaceful, and inclusive institutions that support the broader goals of SDG-16.
