On Saturday, September 9, 2023, the IEEE AIUB Student Branch in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering (FE), American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully organized a webinar titled "Reliability and Safety Risks for the AI Hardware in the Perspective of the Future Metaverse". The webinar was held with the purpose of providing an informative session for individuals who are passionate about AI and metaverse applications. It highlighted the integration in the future metaverse, the reliability, and the safety of its implementing hardware with respect to faults and aging conditions possibly occurring during its operation in the field.

Cecilia Metra, Professor, PhD, Eng, IEEE Fellow; 2022-2023 IEEE Director/Division V Delegate; President, IEEE Computer Society 2019; DEI - ARCES, University of Bologna, Italy conducted the session. Her session focused on the intricacies of financial investments within the metaverse, emphasizing the critical aspects of reliability and safety. This was accomplished through an exploration of the definition of artificial intelligence (AI) and a comprehensive discussion of the methodologies employed to ensure memory reliability, particularly in the context of System Entities.

The webinar had two main goals, to motivate and educate people on algorithmic concepts and important security practices necessary for navigating a technology-driven virtual world. After the speaker session, there was an interactive Q&A session where participants could explore the discussed topics in more depth. Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, AIUB; Advisor, IEEE AIUB Student Branch, concluded the session by expressing gratitude to the honorable speaker and presenting a token of appreciation.

The webinar started at 7 PM (GMT +6) and ended at 8 PM (GMT +6). A total of 90+ participants attended the webinar.
