UGC CHAIRMAN INAUGURATES AIUB’s 12TH FOUNDATION DAY EXHIBITS GALLERY |
| The Chairman of the University Grants Commission, Prof. Dr. Nazrul Islam was the special guest to the opening of the 12th Foundation Day Exhibits Gallery of the American International University-Bangladesh held on Saturday, 3 November 2007 at 10:00 o’clock in the morning. The colorful occasion was witnessed by the officials of the University led by the Founder Chairman, Dr. Anwarul Abedin, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Members of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin and Ms. Nadia Anwar, the Deans of the Faculty of Business and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Anwar Hossian and Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, faculty members, heads of departments, guests and students. The exhibits showcased the important events that took place in the university during its 12 years of creating leaders. The UGC Chairman in his brief comments expressed appreciation for the efforts that the university are pursuing in promoting quality higher education. He has also accepted the invitation of the university for him to deliver a lecture in the Dr. Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series. The occasion also highlights Job Fairs and other academic activities which usher the weeklong celebration of the 12th foundation day of the university. The exhibits Gallery continues to draw viewers from the faculty, students, parents and guests which will be closed on the 8th November 2007.
