Marketing Students’ Plant Visit to Pran Industrial Park (PIP)

The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB, organized a plant visit to PRAN Industrial Park (PIP), PRAN-RFL Group, Bagpara, Palash, Narshingdi on Thursday, October 12, 2023. As a part of the regular student development program under the industry-academia collaboration, marketing major students went on to visit the factory to get practical insights about the plant operations, raw material sourcing, production processes, quality control, and storage & shipment procedures of the produced plastic items in the home and foreign markets of this renowned company. The visiting team was acquainted with the practical learning, was briefed, and witnessed the different production lines of Durable Plastic Ltd (DPL) and Banga Plastic International Ltd. (BPIL), concerns of PRAN-RFL Group. The students participated with great enthusiasm and learning aptitude in understanding the different functions of the plant operations. At the closing, the faculty members expressed their vote of appreciation to the company officials and presented gift packs to the plant management on behalf of AIUB.

The objective of this study tour was in line with key sustainable development goal (SDG) of the United Nations “Quality Education.” The focus of the Department of Marketing, THM, & IB on organizing this type of study tour reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the marketing domain.

Mr. Hamidul Islam [Hamid], and Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Senior Assistant Professors from the Department of Marketing, FBA organized the plant visit under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing. The Department of Marketing, FBA expressed sincere appreciation for all administrative and logistical support received from the AIUB Management; FBA Management; Director, OSA, AIUB; and Deputy Director, Administration, AIUB. The Department of Marketing was really pleased to have the support and cooperation received from AGM & Head of HR, and Senior Brand Manager, PRAN-RFL Group for facilitating this plant visit.
