MAHIDOL UNIVERSITY OFFICIALS & THE ROYAL THAI EMBASSY STAFF VISIT AIUB TO EXPLORE PARTNERSHIP

In line with Mahidol University’s thrust for internationalization, a team of key officials visited AIUB to explore possible partnership in the academic programs on the 25th of September 2018. The delegation included the Dean, Prof. Patcharee Lertrit, the Deputy Dean for International Language Development, Dr. Somchai Trakarnrung, and the Assistant Dean for International Relations, Dr. Aug Win Tun, all representing the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the Mahidol University, Thailand. They were accompanied by Ms. Warasan Binte Israil, the Secretary to the Ambassador, and Ms. Lalita Adulyakittiphaisan, the Foreign Relations Officer, as the representatives of the Royal Thai Embassy, Dhaka. AIUB was represented by the Vice President for Academics and Dean for Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, along with the Program Directors for the Undergraduate and Graduate Programs from the Faculty of Business Administration, Dr. Nisar Ahmed and Ms. Farheen Hassan. The discussion was focused on the various opportunities for collaboration between the two institutions, ranging from the graduate programs to semester exchanges, even exploring options to integrate faculty exchanges, administration development, certification courses, etc. with the other Faculties of Engineering, Science, and Arts within both the universities. After the meeting, the visitors paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Ms. Nadia Anwar, with whom they shared their views on the partnership possibilities that could mutually benefit the students, faculty and staff of both institutions. Both AIUB and Mahidol University are keen on establishing a mutually constructive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and look forward to realizing a fruitful collaborative and sustainable relationship.
