Letter from Vice Chancellor: Restarting on-campus classes

Dear students,

Greetings from the Office of the Vice Chancellor!

I hope and pray that you and your families are in your good health! It has been a challenging phase for all of us over the past 2 years. We have faced unprecedented uncertainty and difficult disruptions that have changed how we live, work, and study. But we have proved our resilience over time and overcome the obstacles to persevere through the pandemic. On behalf of the AIUB Management, I would like to express our sincere gratitude towards each and every one of you for your continued support and cooperation during these trying times. Your wholehearted participation and proactive enthusiasm in your classes, working towards improving your performance and excelling at your endeavors, despite the limitations, is truly an inspiration.

Given the improving conditions of the pandemic in Bangladesh, AIUB is hoping to re-open its campus premises to the students from the Spring 2021-22 semester and planning for it accordingly. One of the criteria for that is, based on the instructions received from the Ministry of Education (MoE), students will be required to be fully vaccinated in order to attend classes on campus. Hence, all students are again encouraged to register for their vaccine dosage as soon as possible. Together, we can revive the old and adapt to the new normal – leading the way for creating a better tomorrow.

AIUB is committed to ensure that all possible measures for your health and safety are put into effect once the campus reopens, enabling you to continue your pursuit for higher education at AIUB. I am eagerly looking forward to the day when we can welcome all our students back and to our beautiful campus. Till then, take care and stay safe!

With best wishes,

Dr. Carmen Z Lamagna

Vice Chancellor
