As part of the MOU between the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and the University of Reading, UK, AIUB students may apply for the International Summer School at the University of Reading. It will run from Monday 21st July, 2025 to Friday 1st August, 2025.

About the Course:
The University of Reading is pleased to welcome international students for a two-week international summer school called Britain in a Global Society from Monday 21st July to Friday 1st August, 2025. This summer school will enrich your studies and offer the opportunity to study at a leading UK university. You will learn about Britain in the world today, study with students and staff in your discipline area (Business, Science, Law, Psychology), and enjoy cultural and educational trips. These experiences can help you improve your intercultural understanding and communication skills, something which is highly valued by universities and employers. Moreover, you will have fun and make new friends!
The University of Reading is a world leader in the study of climate change and sustainability and our programmes actively promote the development of students as global citizens. The summer school explores the UK’s responses to today’s global challenges and the wider impact on culture and society, including consideration of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals<https://sdgs.un.org/goals> (SDGs).
The summer school is based on the Whiteknights campus <https://www.reading.ac.uk/ready-to-study/student-life/campus-and-facilities/whiteknights-campus> and includes classroom teaching, seminar discussions, department visits, cultural and social activities including one full-day trip, and the freedom to travel as you please at weekends. The accommodation is on campus, close to facilities and surrounded by green spaces, ideal for relaxing after classes.

Where is Reading?
Reading is close to London, Oxford and Windsor (all 30 minutes away) and well-connected by rail to other places of interest such as Bath, Bristol, Manchester, and the south coast of England. Reading is less than an hour from London Heathrow airport. Reading town offers plenty of student-friendly shops, restaurants and historical sights. The university campus is a short bus ride from the train station.
How much does the summer school cost?
The £1800 fee includes all tuition and activities, including one full-day trip, and accommodation. Accepted applicants will need to pay for their own visa fees, flights, airport transfer and other local transport, insurance, and food.
