IoT-based smart patient monitoring system

Continuous monitoring of vital signs such as heart rate, body temperature and peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO2) are of utmost importance in urgent patient care, but predictive analytics works one step further by allowing healthcare providers to react to emergencies in a timely manner with better preparations. This work aims to develop a commercially viable smart patient monitoring system that collects data from patients, wirelessly transmits data to a locally hosted secure database, and identifies risk patterns from collected data using machine learning algorithms.
