ATTENTION UNDERGRADUATE FEMALE STUDENTS!

The Dr. Anwarul Abedin Scholarship Grant for Female University Students (UG) is now open for application for Fall Semester 2026-2027.

This scholarship grant is established in honor of the late Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), Dr. Anwarul Abedin. His vision of providing opportunities for female students to have greater access to university education augurs well with the national and international concern of narrowing the gender gap between male and female students in the university. The grant covers only the tuition fee (maximum 100%) given to qualified female students every regular semester, Fall and Spring.

Required criteria for the application (for Undergraduate female students only):

1. CGPA of 3.6 or above; No grade below B+; No semester gap.

2. Regular Full-Time student with Full Credit load

3. No Disciplinary Action.

4. Certification of Membership in any AIUB Student Club (Download the form and collect recommendations/ signature of the club mentor) AND/OR,

5. Certification of Active Participation in Department/Course Extra-Curricular Activities (Download the form and collect recommendations/ signature from Dean/ Director).

6. Not a current recipient of any other kind of scholarship/financial assistance provided by the university or any other organization.

7. The grant renewal is subject to maintaining the CGPA and other criteria prescribed above every semester.

Application & Selection process:

2. Download the recommendation form (available in a separate link in the notice)

3. Fill out the recommendation form

4. Collect recommendation/ signature of the club mentor/ faculty dean/ program director on the recommendation form and submit it to the Office of Student Affairs (OSA).

5. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview.

6. Only one student per faculty will receive the grant if the interview committee finds the applicant eligible and qualified.

7. AIUB reserves all rights to update the criteria or the decision.
