The Department of Law has successfully organised the 6th Intra-Department Moot Court Competition 2025 from the 5th to the 7th of November 2025. The co-curricular competition was the largest intra moot court competition in the history of the Department which aimed at enhancing the advocacy skills, legal reasoning, and courtroom etiquette of the students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all semesters and provided them with a platform to experience the practical dimensions of law.

On the 5th of November 2025, the competition commenced with a formal inaugural ceremony, attended by the faculty members and student participants. The Head of the Department of Law, Dr Robayet Ferdous Syed, delivered the welcome speech, emphasising the importance of mooting in legal education and the need for students to develop strong research and oral advocacy skills. The Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), Professor Dr Tazul Islam, further stressed the need to develop courtroom advocacy skills of the students, which will remain as their invaluable asset when they begin practising law in Bangladesh or overseas. Dr Tazul, with his ever-inspiring words, encouraged the students to be fearless in their arguments while maintaining a humble demeanour and wished the very best to the participants for the forthcoming competition rounds.

On the second day of competition, 6th of November 2025, preliminary and quarter-final rounds were held. Panels of adjudicating judges, invited from the academic arena and the legal industry, listened to the teams' arguments. The rounds were intense, which tested the participants on legal research, drafting of memorials, interpretation of statutes, and courtroom advocacy and demeanour. The adjudicating judges expressed appreciation for the clarity of arguments and constructive rebuttals presented by the students. In the evening, the adjudicating judges were presented with plaques and certificates of appreciation by the Head of the Department of Law, Dr Robayet Ferdous Syed, and the Faculty Mentor of the AIUB Law and Mooting Society (formerly the AIUB Moot Court Club), Barrister Fahim Faisal Khan Alabi.
