Voices is a periodic magazine of AIUB which used to be published every semester earlier. AIUB is planning to revive the magazine and publish on a regular basis from upcoming semester.

With an objective to relaunch the magazine, AIUB is looking for 2 student copy editors (1 for English and 1 for Bangla) and 2 illustrators.

The responsibilities will include (not limited to) the followings:

• Edits, proofreads, and produces copy for the magazine
• Oversees production schedules to ensure completion by set deadlines
• Serve as a liaison between the magazine and writers/staff/administration
• May coordinate department activities such as production of documents, scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and maintaining files
• May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
• Weekly meeting with adviser/ mentors
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• Proofread articles for spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and work with students to achieve the best from them
• Work with staff and students to generate content and topic ideas
• For illustrator position, graphic design experience will be preferred

An ideal candidate would be an AIUB student of any discipline with a track record of previous copy writing, proof reading and publishing experience.

Selected students will be member of a team for publishing voices on a regular basis and will be recognized for their co/extra-curricular activities.
