The Department of Media and Mass Communication (MMC) at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully hosted the 10th Communication and Journalism Educators Network (CJEN) Conference - the largest in the network’s history. The two-day event, held on October 24–25, 2025, brought together over 200 educators, researchers, media professionals, and students from across Bangladesh.
Organized in partnership with DW Akademie, this milestone edition was themed “Media Transformed: Bangladesh at a Crossroads.” It featured 58 research presentations across multiple parallel sessions, marking a major expansion in the conference’s academic scope and impact.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. S. M. A. The second day began with the keynote address by Mr. Ramon Guillermo R. Tuazon, Secretary-General of AMIC, titled “Six Triggers That Call for Reinventing Communication and Journalism Education and Practice in Asia,” which set the tone for the day’s sessions.
The conference wrapped up with a final roundtable on “Employability of Journalism Graduates in the Age of AI,” featuring industry experts from Viscom, Prothom Alo, Gorai Films, UNDP Bangladesh, and ULAB.
