AIUB Signs Agreement with Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh
American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has signed an agreement with Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh, aiming at collaboration for a research project titled “Urban Innovation: Adaptive Solutions in Climate Resilient Dwelling for Slum Dwellers” to be carried out by its Architecture Department. The project aims to develop adaptive and affordable solutions to mitigate climate induced problems in slum dwellings. The agreement signing ceremony was held at AIUB Permanent Campus on Monday, November 5, 2018. The signing event was embellished by the presence of Honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Dr. Charles C. Villanueva (Vice President- Academics and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration), Dr. A.B.M. Siddique Hossain (Dean, Faculty of Engineering), M. Arefeen Ibrahim (Head, Department of Architecture), Mr. John Armstrong (National Director, Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh), Mr. Md. Abul Bashar (Sr. Manager, Program implementation and Innovation, Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh) among others.
