Dhaka, Bangladesh – The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has officially become an institutional member of the Asian Media Information and Communication Centre (AMIC), one of the most prestigious regional organizations in the field of media and communication. Through this institutional membership, JMC-AIUB joins a distinguished network of universities, research institutions, and media organizations across Asia and beyond. This partnership aims to promote cooperation in areas such as academic research, faculty and student development, curriculum enrichment, joint seminars and conferences, publications, and knowledge exchange. The collaboration will also create opportunities for JMC students and faculty members to engage with AMIC’s regional and international initiatives, enhancing global exposure and professional capacity. Representatives from both institutions expressed optimism that the agreement would contribute to advancing excellence in journalism and mass communication education, research, and practice.
