The department of Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) and AIUB-IQAC organized a seminar on “Logistics, Transportation & Distribution  Management”, on March 27^th, 2017, between 6:30PM to 9:30PM, in FBA Building Auditorium.  This seminar is a part of a series of initiatives taken for “Faculty Skill Development” and “ Student Enrichment Program” to be conducted during the Spring 2016-17 Semester, by OSCM Department with AIUB-IQAC. It is a extension to the constant  endeavors by OSCM Department and AIUB-IQAC to develop the capacity of faculty members and major student by augmenting to their knowledge base, application tools and techniques, reseach capabilitis in terms of Logistics, Transportation & Distribution Management. The seminar also aimed to promote the department of “Operations and Supply Chain Management”.

The seminar delivered understanding on the topics of Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (LTD) management and Application of LTD in industry as per ISCEA certification and best practices.  The seminar also created a clear picture of the career prospective in Supply Chain Management to the faculties and students.

Mr. Khan Md Masudul Alam, CSCM, GM , SCM, Robi Axiata Limited was the chief instructor for the seminar.  He has more than 15 years of extensive industry expertise in logistics management.  He is also a reputed trainer for SCM professional certifications.

A total of  sixteen AIUB faculty members and eighty OSCM major and prospective major students, from both BBA and MBA, were participants of this seminar. The session was very interactive between the students, faculty members and resource speaker. There were refreshment
