AIUB Drama Club (ADC) proudly organized ADC National Drama Fiesta 2025 on 8th ,9th and 10th December 2025, a vibrant three-day intercollege and interuniversity competition which celebrated creativity, freedom of expression, and the world of drama. The event was fully supported by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), American International University-Bangladesh. The event was officially inaugurated by Ms. Nadia Anwar, Chairman, Board of Trustees (Founding Member, AIUB), She was joined by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor and Director of Office of Student Affairs (OSA); Dr. Ziarat H. Khan, Deputy Director, OSA; Ms. Shama Islam, Special Assistant, OSA.
The first two days welcomed a dynamic group of participants representing 15 prominent institutions across the country. Tariq Anam Khan, acclaimed actor, director, writer; Mojaffor Hossain, translator, Bangla Academy, fiction writer and literary critic, Mr. A.S.M Maruf Kabir, Visiting Scholar, Department of Drama, TISC School of Arts, New York University, USA; Mohammad Niaz Majumder, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Media and Mass Communication, AIUB Ms. Shahrina Afrin Siddique, lecturer Department of English and Mr. Shihab Saqib, Assistant Professor, Department of English, AIUB joined as adjudicators for the competition.
In the intercollege competition segment, Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College became champion followed by: Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College, and Team Ontim-Agnijhor (teams consisting of students from multiple colleges) emerged as the first and second runner-up. IUB Theatre took the title of champions, UAP secured the position of 1st runner up and Titumir Nattya Dol became the 2nd runner up in the interuniversity segment.
On 10th November Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor; M Hamidul Haque, Associate Professor and Head, Department of English, AIUB; Dipty Rahman, mentor of the AIUB Drama Club, Rifat Al Mostakim, the president of the AIUB Drama Club and other executive committee members of the club distributed the trophies and a total prize pool of 64 thousand taka among the winners.
