On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, the AIUB Business Club (ABC), in collaboration with Banglalink and with the support of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), successfully organized the Banglalink Governance Forum 2025 at the AIUB Campus. Themed “Mastering the Skill Set in Legal, Governance, and Regulatory Affairs,” the event focused on equipping students with critical knowledge of the legal and regulatory dynamics that govern today’s corporate environment.
The event commenced with a warm and inspiring welcome speech from Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor & Dean in Charge, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA). He highlighted the importance of bridging academic learning with industry practices and emphasized how understanding governance and legal compliance is crucial for the future success of business professionals.
The highlight of the event was an engaging panel discussion featuring industry leaders from Banglalink: Mr. Mashrur Ahmed Zidane, Strategic Assistant; Mr. Muhammad Fazlul Kabir, Legal Deputy Director – Regulatory and Procurement, Legal Affairs; and Mr. Md Saiful Islam Jibon, Manager – Litigation & Real Estate Support, Legal Affairs. Drawing from their real-world experience, the speakers shared practical insights into legal governance, regulatory compliance, and corporate law. Their discussions illuminated the challenges professionals face in this sector, offering students a valuable perspective on the skills required to excel in legal and governance roles.
Following the discussion, Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of the MBA/EMBA Program, delivered a thoughtful address, providing valuable insights into the current corporate landscape. He underscored the need for students to master regulatory frameworks and adapt to the evolving demands of the business world. He concluded the program with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to all contributors and participants. Special gratitude was extended to Banglalink for their continued collaboration and commitment to education, and to the university’s respected faculty and administrative leaders for their unwavering support.
The event was further honored by the presence of distinguished guests: Dr. Kamrul Hasan – Professor and Head, Department of Accounting; Mr. Soumendra Sankar Das, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing; and Dr. Mohammad Ali, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Management.
The forum was hosted by Rockyuzzaman Rocky and Shafia Ibnat Khan, who brought professionalism and energy to the stage, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the session.
