Workshop on “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)”- organized by ESAB AIUB Unit Face

Engineering Students’ Association Of Bangladesh (ESAB) has organized a mega event entitled by “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)” at AIUB, EEE Seminar Room-266, Campus 2, on 20thMarch, 2014. The workshop started with the national anthem. Later on, a brief promo video was demonstrated focusing on ESAB’s mission, vision and ideals. As special guest, Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Director(Faculty of Engineering)was present at the workshop andpresented his inaugural speech by thanking ESAB for organizing such events. He also talked briefly on the applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Then, Mr. Arnab Tanvir(Treasurer of ESAB central committee)delivered a welcome speech in which he also addressed about the assessment of knowledge and skills. Then, Md. Arif Raihan Maahi (General Secretary of ESAB) presented his speech regarding the importance of sharing  knowledge and skills. Then, Mr. Rakibul Hafiz (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB),delivered his speech emphasizing that it’s much easier to seek knowledge due to arrangement of such events.Then, Ms. HumairaSalmin (Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB),presented her speech thanking ESAB for organizing such events and expressed her satisfaction regarding the curiosity of students on these innovative things beside their academic study. Later on, Guest Instructor Md. Jubayer Al Billal Khanbrieflyintroduced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and talked about the history, classification and some of the modern of UAV and UAS (unmanned aircraft system). Then he discussedtheory of aerodynamics and aeromodeling. Different parts and mechanism of the UAV was described and explained visually and the equipment’s required to build UAV was described as well. At the end, he took some questions from the participants regarding UAV and provided some guidelines to the interested individuals. Afterwards,Mr. RinkuBasak( Head of Graduate Program)delivered a thanks note. He and Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan(Head of Undergraduate Program)handed over crest to the Guest Instructor Md. Jubayer Al Billal Khanas a symbol of appreciation.At the end, certificate was distributed among participants of the workshop by Mr. Rakibul Hafiz(Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB)and Guest Instructor Md. Jubayer Al Billal Khan. The entire seminar was hosted by Kazi Anika Nawar and it was organized by Mohammad Ali Nipun and other face, organizing and working members under the supervision of Md. Abdur Rahman Nayem. The seminar was graced by the presence of Ms. Nadia Nowshin, Asst. Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Ms. Nadia Afroze, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering & Special Asst., OSA.
