Workshop on ‘Publication in International Journals: An Insider’s View’

A workshop titled ‘Publication in International Journals: An Insider’s View’ was organized by the Department of Accounting under two different sessions, the first session held on March 13 and the second one on March 27. The workshop was conducted by Professor Dr. Zahirul Hoque. The resource speaker is the editor of Journal of Accounting & Organizational Changes.  He is also member of editorial boards of several other international journals like, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability and The British Accounting Review. Dr. Hoque is a professor of La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia. He is also the Executive Director of Center for Public Sector Governance, Accountability and Performance of La Trobe University. The workshop covered different aspects related to publishing in reputed international journals. Dr. Hoque has shared his practical experiences with the participants both as a researcher and more importantly as the editor of international journals. His lively, enthusiastic, inspiring and interactive presentation made the sessions a very productive one. The seminar was very informative and helpful for the participants to understand how to produce good articles and publish in international journals. Participation of faculty members from all the departments of business made both the sessions of the workshop productive. The workshop was arranged by Mr. Farooque Hossain, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting and the workshop ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Md. Zakaria Masud, Head, Department of Accounting.
