Workshop on “Learning Tally.ERP 9 – From Accounting to ERP”

A workshop on “Learning Tally.ERP 9” was jointly organized by Department of Accounting of AIUB with Institute of Professional Development Programs (IPDP) on 13th October, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the AIUB Language Lab. The session was started with a welcome message from Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Director, Graduate Program of AIUB. Students of both undergraduate and graduate program were the participants in that workshop. Member from IPDP conducted the workshop in a very friendly and interactive manner. During the session they have presented operations in a software based accounting environment with a real life example and explain in details how to create a company in Tally.ERP 9; how to create accounting ledger; how to create units of measure; how to create stock group; how to create stock item; how to display list of accounts; how to create receipt voucher; how to create contra voucher; how to create purchase voucher; how to create payment voucher; how to create price list; how to create sales invoice; how to create journal voucher; how to display ledger; how to display trial balance; how to display profit & loss statement; how to display balance sheet and so may other relevant issues. At the end of the workshop Mr. Md. Zakaria Masud, Head, Department of Accounting of AIUB delivered his heartfelt thanks to the member of IPDP and the audience for presenting an intellectual and lively session.  Besides, as a sign of gratitude, he has also handed over a certificate of appreciation and token gifts to the members of IPDP.
