The Workshop on Infrastructure Project Financing & Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), organized by AIUB Finance Club – AFiC, marked an insightful and engaging initiative toward strengthening students’ understanding of how strategic financing and collaboration drive large-scale development. The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to explore the smart financial strategies and leadership principles that lie behind landmark infrastructure projects.

The event was honored to have A. M. Al-Amin, Public Private Partnership Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as the distinguished keynote speaker. Drawing from his extensive industry experience and practical expertise, he shared invaluable insights into infrastructure project financing and the mechanics of public-private collaborations. His practical perspectives enabled participants to connect theoretical financial concepts with real-world development strategies and gain a deeper understanding of the approaches used in financing major public projects.

Distinguished guests and esteemed faculty members present at the occasion included Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Professor and Director (MBA Program), Department of Accounting; Professor Dr. Md. Faruque Hossain, Professor and Member of the Research & Publication Steering Committee, Department of OSCM; Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Talukdar, Professor, Department of Management; Stanley Sumon Rodrick, Associate Professor and Special Assistant (OSA), Department of Marketing; and Dr. Mohammed Kamrul Hasan, Associate Professor, Department of Finance. The event was further enriched by the unwavering support of respected mentors Bohi Shajahan, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Finance, and Quazi Nur Alam, Assistant Professor, Department of Finance. Their presence and encouragement added greater significance to the occasion and reinforced the importance of practical financial education for students. The event, which saw enthusiastic participation at the Multipurpose Hall, Annex 7, was graciously hosted by Ummay Shaiara Anisha and Bhuiyan Rifat.

Overall, the Workshop on Infrastructure Project Financing & Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) represented another meaningful step in the AIUB Finance Club’s journey toward empowering students with practical financial knowledge and industry exposure.
