Workshop Concerning the Selection of Research Titles and Methodologies by Architecture Research Team

The Architecture Research Team at the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) conducted a workshop on March 7, 2024, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. titled "Selection of Research Title and Methodologies." The workshop aimed to assist researchers and scholars in selecting research titles and methodologies by offering valuable supervision and guidance.

The session was led by Farzana Siddiqua, the moderator for Urbanism and the Human Settlement domain, and Irfat Alam, the moderator for Architecture and Technology domain. Both moderators offered invaluable support and insights. The important agenda included an overview of the Architecture Research Team's activities broken down by research domains, as well as an introduction to new researchers and an update on current research. The workshop's main objective was to assist participants in creating a well-organized research agenda that is customized to their unique academic and professional objectives, ensuring that their research endeavors are focused and obvious.

The attendees had the opportunity to investigate the numerous research facilities and resources that are accessible at AIUB. This will provide them with an atmosphere that is suitable for their academic aspirations and make it easier for them to succeed. Furthermore, participants were provided with ideas on how to get funding for their research projects, equipping them to undertake ambitious research efforts with financial sustainability. After engaging in insightful discussions, the attendees of the workshop participated in interactive group activities. During these activities, they collaborated to generate and refine research topics, which promoted creativity and innovation in the selection process.

The workshop came to an end with an interactive question-and-answer segment, which was led by Dr. Rinku Basak. Dr. Basak is a distinguished individual and serves on the Research and Publication Steering Committee of the Faculty of Engineering at AIUB. Through this session, participants had the opportunity to ask detailed questions, gain valuable insights from Dr. Basak's expertise, and get further clarification on any points of interest.

The faculty members from the Architecture Department of AIUB actively participated in this workshop intended to promote joint research activities. Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in lively discussions and shared information to collectively address relevant issues and explore creative research exercises, which are essential for scholarly advancement. We extend our gratitude to M. Arefeen Ibrahim, the head of the Architecture Department, for his valuable assistance in organizing this workshop.
