On 28th June 2020, Sunday at 7:30 Pm (Bangladesh Time) and 9:30 am USA time, Department of Management and HRM, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB has organized a webinar titled ‘Risk Communication during Emergencies’ Under the platform of ‘Socially distanced, Academically involved and Intellectually engaged’ call of Vice Chancellor of AIUB Dr.Carmen Zita Lamagna. The resource speaker of the session was David H.Mould, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Media Arts and Studies at Ohio University, USA. Dr.David discussed Risk communication and its goals, Behaviour change theories to design and evaluate the effectiveness of risk communication interventions and C4D approaches in risk perception and mitigation with examples on individual, interpersonal and societal level. The webinar was one and half hour long and featured with Q&A session by our faculty members at the end. Thirty three faculty members of FBA and FASS participated the session and the Dean FBA and Vice President, Academics Dr.Charles C.Villanueva welcomed the resource speaker and Director BBA program and head of Dept’ of Management and HRM , Associate Professor Ms. Farheen Hassan offered her vote of thanks . The session was organized and coordinated by Ms. Anisa Sultana, Senior Assistant Professor, Dept’ of Management and HRM, FBA under the guidance of Ms. Farheen Hassan. It is worth mentioning that Dr.David had visited AIUB permanent Campus as a leader of an international Team that has worked with universities in Bangladesh to develop curriculumn in communication for Development and helped faculty develop their skills in social research. He also ran an informative seminar last year at the campus. AIUB is also immensely happy to have him as the editorial member of AIUB Journal of Business and Economics.
