On Thursday, March 5, 2026, the Engineering Students’ Association of Bangladesh (ESAB)-AIUB Unit Face organized a webinar titled “How Engineers Can Get Fully Funded Scholarships Abroad: A Complete Step-by-Step Guide” via Zoom. The event aimed at providing engineering students with comprehensive guidance on pursuing higher studies abroad through fully funded scholarship opportunities.
The webinar focused on the step-by-step process of securing scholarships abroad, including preparation strategies, profile building, required documentation, and the application process for international graduate programs.
The keynote session was delivered by Mr. Mohammad Shafin Ahmed (Graduate Teaching Assistant, Central Michigan University). During his presentation, he shared valuable insights from his academic journey and explained the practical steps involved in applying for fully funded scholarships. He discussed important aspects such as preparing for standardized tests, building a strong academic profile, writing effective Statements of Purpose (SOP) and CVs, and communicating with potential supervisors.
The session helped participants gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities and preparations required for pursuing higher studies abroad. This was followed by an interactive Q&A session, during which participants actively engaged with the speaker and received detailed answers to their questions about scholarship applications and studying abroad.
The program concluded with closing remarks delivered by Mr. Md. Shahariar Parvez (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering; Special Assistant (OSA), AIUB, Mentor, ESAB AIUB Unit Face), who expressed his appreciation to the speaker for sharing valuable insights and encouraged students to utilize such opportunities to prepare themselves for global academic and professional challenges.
At the end of the program, an e-certificate of appreciation was presented to the speaker by Mr. Md. Shahariar Parvez in recognition of his valuable contribution to the webinar.
