Warm Cloth Donation - 2013 by the “AIUB SHOMOY CLUB”

Members of “AIUB SHOMOY CLUB” went and donated blankets to the victims of the Cold Spell of the Northern District of Bangladesh on January 11-12, 2013. They organized a campaign in the university to collect fund and winter clothes to distribute amongst the poor and needy. The donation collection drive was carried out from the 5th of December 2012 to the 5th of January, 2013. 1000 blankets from Thakurgong, Keshorbari (Tat Polly) village were purchased with the collected fund. “AIUB SHOMOY CLUB” member’s – Imran, Akash, Murad, Sharif, Raisul, Shamim, Niloy, Nasib, Shovo (Guide) accompanied by Dr. Khandakar Tabin Hasan, Faculty Member of CS started their journey on the 10th of January, 2013 from Dhaka. The donation activity was mainly targeted at the Shetabgonj, Dockchai village and half of the distribution was also done amongst the crowd who gathered near the “Thakurgaon, Birgoang, Balaka Street”. About 1600 people received this charity.
