VISIT TO DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE

The Office of Placement and Alumni (OPA) jointly with the Department of Accounting and Finance of AIUB, organized a visit on 29th March 2010, for its students to the Dhaka Stock Exchange. The visit included a presentation on the bourse by Mr. Syed Al Amin Rahman DGM and In-Charge DSE Training Academy and a visit to one of the Brokerage Houses.
Mr. Rahman in his presentation shared with the students important details about the bourse and briefed them on the work they do.  At the end of the Session, the students asked various questions related to the bourse
The students also visited Jahan Securities Ltd., a brokerage house of the bourse. The workings of the brokerage house were explained to them by one of their Managers. The students belonging to “Investment and Portfolio Management” Section C were accompanied by their Faculty Assistant Prof. Taseen Chowdhury, the OPA Director Mr. R. Tareque Moudud and the OPA Junior Executive Mr. Md. Anisul Haque
