The Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM), Faculty of Business Administration organized a seminar on “Virtual Lecture on Supply Chain Simulation” on 27 November 2019 at Media Studio, AIUB Campus for MBA students of OSCM major courses Global logistics Management and core course Managing Operations and Quality. The resource speaker was Prof. David Goldsman, Professor and Directors of Masters Programs, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Tech, Atlanta, USA. The main objectives of this seminar were to provide our students to be virtually connected with an eminent professor of a foreign country with the aid of our strong logistics support. The speaker very eloquently explained the basics of simulation, uses of simulation at different area like hospital, airport, some software of simulation process, waiting line simulation. Prof. David very much enjoyed the question answer session where students and teachers spontaneously participated.
Dr. Nisar Ahmed, Professor and Director of MBA Programs, Faculty of Business Administration inaugurated the seminar with a welcome speech. Dr. Saad Hasan, Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Hoque, Mr. Mohammad Ali, from department of Operations and Supply Chain Management were present at the event. Dr. Saad Hasan delivered the vote of thanks.
