The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB organized a creative competitive event for the students of the Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) Course, BBA program entitled “TVC Production Competition” on June 26, 2025 (Thursday) in the Media Studio of AIUB campus. The core objective of this event was to mentor and encourage the marketing major students to apply their theoretical knowledge of advertising and marketing communications into practices. The students have been asked to make a 1-minute Television Commercial with appropriate verbal-visual combination of messages for their respective product categories. A total of 40 students divided into 8 teams participated in the event. It was a 360-degree student centric academic project where the students designed the total communication content plan, prepared the script, performed in the TVC shoot, completed the post-production tasks, proposed the media planning, and finally presented the outcome in front of the Judge panel, faculty members, and the students.
The event was inaugurated and adorned by the kind presence of Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-In-Charge, FBA. He witnessed students’ performances, asked questions, and shared his valuable advice to fine-tune their concepts for further professional development. Professor Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director, Graduate Program, FBA, and Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director, Undergraduate Program, FBA were also present during the event and shared their inspirational words highlighting the value of students’ engagements in creative and hands-on activities.
The students’ performances were evaluated by the distinguished judges Dr. Sahin Akter Sarker, Associate Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA; Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Sr. Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA, and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs, AIUB based on their respective concept & content design, message structure & appeal clarity, subject knowledge & presentation skills and others. At the end Professor Dr. Partha P. Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing concluded the session, announced the winners, and presented them with the Champion, 1st Runner Up, and 2nd Runner Up Trophies & Certificates. The event was organized, and production supervised by Mr. Hamidul Islam, Sr. Assistant Professor, Department of Marketing, FBA, and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs, AIUB.
