The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM), Faculty of Business Administration (FBA), AIUB, organized a study tour to ‘Dream Holiday Park’ an established entertainment theme park situated in the picturesque Narsingdi district near the capital on Thursday, March 07, 2024.

As a part of the regular student development program under the industry-academia collaboration, THM major students went on to visit the tourist destination to get practical insights about the theme park operations, marketing strategies including segmentation, targeting, and positioning.

The study tour allowed THM students to inspect different rides of the park and understand risk management procedures that include identification - analysis - mitigation – monitoring. On completion of this tour THM students learned different marketing techniques and their application in tourism settings. Students gained knowledge on creating attractive tour plans and pricing strategies. Moreover, a visit to this famous tourist spot boosted their motivation on entrepreneurial mindset.

The objective of this study visit was in line with the key sustainable development goal (SDG) of the United Nations, “Quality Education.” The focus of the Department of Marketing, THM, & IB on organizing this type of study tour reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the marketing domain.

Mr. Mahmudul Hasan, Lecturer, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management organized the event under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head, Department of Marketing, and THM. The Department of Marketing, and THM, FBA expressed sincere appreciation for all administrative and logistical support received from the AIUB Management; Director, BBA Program; Director, OSA, AIUB; and Deputy Director, Administration, AIUB. The Department of Marketing was really pleased to have the support and cooperation received from Mr. Saiful Islam Sabuj, Operations Manager, Dream Holiday Park.
