The Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of the Faculty of Business Administration at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) organized a practical presentation on Food and Beverage Service Management titled “Flavours of Excellence: Elevating Food & Beverage Service with Style and Taste” on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
The event took place in the THM Multipurpose Lab and featured participation from students of the Tourism and Hospitality Management program. The event was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean-in-Charge, FBA, Dr. Rezbin Nahar, Director of the BBA Program.
The event was coordinated by Ms. Sharmin Sultana, Assistant Professor under the close supervision of Prof. Dr. Partha Prasad Chowdhury, Head of the Department of Marketing & THM. During the presentation, students were divided into groups, each tasked with showcasing and serving food from a designated cuisine. Their performances demonstrated creativity and skill, as they presented dishes and provided exemplary table service. The guests tasted the food, observed the students' service, table setups firsthand, and expressed high satisfaction with the event's theme, food quality, presentation, and service.
The students were delighted to be present at the event. The objective of organizing this event was in line with key sustainable goal (SDG) of the United Nations “Quality Education” and “Decent Work and Economic Growth”. The focus of the Department of Tourism and hospitality management on organizing this type of event reflects AIUB's commitment to excellence in education, student career development, and its dedication to nurturing future professionals in the domain of tourism and hospitality management.
