Beyond the Glass Ceiling: Women Rectors Across Europe and Leadership in Higher Education

The VC represented the University in a conference organized and funded by Istanbul Technical University with the theme “Beyond the Glass Ceiling:  Women Rectors Across Europe and Leadership in Higher Education”.  This is an annual gathering of a few women academics from around the world, sharing experiences and developing new ideas to improve the conditions for women academics to remove the barriers for horizontal and vertical segregation.  The conference has examined the position and experiences of women in higher educational administration and strategies were discussed which can be used to improve the inclusion of women at this level. Dr. Lamagna presented a paper on “Women at the Top: Administration and their Leadership in Higher Education”
