The VC chaired the board meeting of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP) as the President on December 8, 2009. The meeting was held in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Selangor, Malaysia.  A meeting of the International Affairs Directors and VPs followed in the afternoon.  Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin represented AIUB.
