AIUB HELD SUMMER EDITION OF THE LECTURE SERIES

The summer edition of the Dr. Anwarul Abedin Lecture Series was held on 15 July 2008 with Mr. Syed Alamgir, Executive Director of the ACI Limited as the guest lecturer. Mr. Alamgir spoke on the topic: Fast Moving Consumer Goods which was attended by marketing students and faculty of the Faculty of Business Administration. It was a very enlightening and inspiring lecture as the speaker also challenged the students to be serious and focused on their career in addition to the interesting presentation of the ACI Ltd. company profile. The speaker expounded on the various factors that contributed to the success of ACI Ltd as a leading business company in country. His concept of HALAL soap was appreciated and accepted by the consumers which resulted to the increase in sales of the ACI Ltd. company and that of its principal affiliate international companies. After his lecture, there was an intellectual exchange with the students and faculty. Relevant and timely issues were raised by the audience. A brief video commercial presentation about the products of ACI was also featured in the program. The university through the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Anwar Hossain and the Dean in Charge of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva presented the university crest and token of appreciation to the distinguished lecturer.
