Engineering Student's Association of Bangladesh (ESAB) has organised an inauguration ceremony of "The Green Rule" at AIUB, EEE Seminar Room-266, Campus-2, on 18th November 2014. “The Green Rule” is a long term project which will be organized by ESAB AIUB Unit Face. The purpose of "The Green Rule" is to raise not only just awareness among people but also to make them realize and see the after upshot of greenhouse effects and global warming. Also, it will involve engineering students into solving this global problem and encourage them to come up with multiple innovative Engineering solutions. The inauguration ceremony started with the national anthem of Bangladesh. Afterwards, a brief promo video was demonstrated focussing on ESAB's mission, vision and activities. And also a promo video was demonstrated on “The Green Rule” which is focussed on Perouse and Target of this project. Dr. A.B.M Siddique Hossain (Professor and Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) provided a speech enhancing the fact to create consciousness among people about greener environment and apply plantation and technology to save the environment. Later on, Mr. Rinku Basak (Head, Graduate Program & Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering) also delivered a speech inspiring the engineering students to work hard to achieve goals. He also suggested the students of AIUB to work on solar energy to reduce pollution and be environment friendly. Finally, Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Head, Undergraduate Program & Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering) delivered a speech addressing on different engineering fields. He also asked the engineering students to design and implement devices that emit less carbon dioxide. Inauguration ceremony of "The Green Rule" took place with the pleasant of cutting a cake in presence of Dr. A.B.M Siddique Hossain (Professor and Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB), Mr. Rinku Basak (Head (Graduate Program), Assistant Professor, AIUB), Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan (Head, Undergraduate Program & Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering), Mr. Chowdhury Akram Hossain (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE &  Special Assistant ,OSA) and Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE &  Special Assistant ,OSA). ESAB is also grateful to Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Assistant Professor & Special Assistant, Department of EEE), Mr. Ebad Zahir (Assistant Professor & Special Assistant, Department of EEE), Mr.  Sakib Ahmed ( Lecturer, Department of EEE) and Mr. Wayesh Qarony ( Lecturer, Department of EEE) for their support and presence in the event. Mashrur H. Shurid (Program Coordination, Development and Planning Secretary, ESAB) inspired everyone to work hard to get success, suggested ways to carry out the campaign like organizing workshop and seminar promoting green energy and provide plantation to school children as a symbol of doing something for the next generation. At the end of the ceremony, certificates of previously arranged seminar "Proteus VSM" along with cakes were distributed to the participants. The entire ceremony was hosted by ESAB Unit Face Members Kazi Aniqa Nawar and Nawshin Islam Nishi. Executives and all organizing and working members of ESAB attended the ceremony.
