On Thursday, 18th April 2024, the Faculty of Engineering (FE) arranged a meeting titled "Faculty of Engineering Research Progress Update." The central theme of the gathering aimed to provide updates on the research progress across diverse domains within the Faculty of Engineering.

 Dr. Rinku Basak, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering, American International University – Bangladesh; Member [Research & Publication Steering Committee] moderated the session and initiated it providing an overview of the different research activities conducted within the Faculty of Engineering in last one year since May 2023. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, who delved into various facets of engineering research, including STEM, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), microgrid smart grids, and electric vehicles. Further, Prof. M.A. Quaiyum, Professor, Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB, contributed to the meeting by focusing on advancements in nuclear engineering and its forthcoming research scopes.

Dr. Md. Hasan Imam, Associate Professor, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB representing the biomedical engineering domain, initiated the progress presentations by focusing on the activities carried out by biomedical domain’s researchers. Following him, Dr. Md. Mahadi Hasan, Assistant Professor, Department of IPE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB presented updates on research within Manufacturing, Production, and Operation Research domain. Dr. Muhibul Haque Bhuyan, Professor, Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB shared progress within the electronics group, and Dr. Shameem Ahmad, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB concluded the presentations with insights from the power research group.

The meeting concluded with a summarizing session by Dr. Rinku Basak, consolidating the discussions and insights shared throughout the session.
