On Thursday, January 8, 2026, AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) organized a technical session at the Auditorium of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). The session was held from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM and focused on emerging technologies in optical spectroscopy and sustainable electric construction systems, aiming to bridge academic knowledge with real-world industrial applications.

The first session was conducted by Mr. Ferdus Wahid (Senior Electromobility Engineer, Volvo Construction Equipment). He delivered an informative presentation on “Electric Construction Equipment and Charging System”, highlighting the transition toward electrification in the construction industry. His discussion emphasized sustainable engineering practices, electric machinery, charging infrastructure, and the role of electromobility in reducing environmental impact. The next session featured Dr. Adnan Riaz (Senior Development Engineer, Attocube Systems GmbH). He presented on “Current Trends in Near Field Optical Spectroscopy,” where he discussed recent advancements, practical applications, and prospects of near field optical techniques in research and industry. His session provided participants with a deeper understanding of nanoscale characterization and cutting-edge optical technologies.

Toward the end of the session, Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Associate Professor and Head [EEE], AIUB) and Dr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Professor & Director, Faculty of Engineering, AIUB) presented a token of appreciation to the honorable speakers. The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion, allowing students to engage directly with the speakers and gain valuable insights into career paths, technological challenges, and future innovations.
