TECHNICAL MEETING ON SOLAR HOME SYSTEM

There was a technical meeting held on 10th September,2009,based on the topic SOLAR HOME SYSTEM(SHS).IEEE-AIUB student branch organized the whole seminar at the AIUB Auditorium. The two special guests for this occasion was Prof. Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan from EEE dept. BUET and Mr. Md Ruhul Quddus, Excecutive Director of Rural Services Foundation Rahimafrooz. Other honourable guests from AIUB present during the event were Dr. Tofazzal Hossain, Dean in charge (Engg)& Vice president(Academic),Dr. ABM Siddique Hossain, Dean of Science Faculty, Prof. Dr. Abdur Rahim Mollah, Professor, Prof. M.A. Quaiyum, Registrar, Jumanah Shireen Khan, Assistant Professor & Dept. Coordinator, Dr. Mohammad Tarek, Assistant Professor, Syed Golam Mohammad, lecturer. On behalf of AIUB, Dr. ABM Siddique told the EEE students about future plans of field visits to different industries and he also emphasized on the immensed possibility of solar system in Bangladesh. Later Dr. Tofazzal Hossain also encouraged students to do research work on solar system so that it can be used in wide scale. The seminar ended with an enthusiastic speech from Jumanah Shireen Khan, where she discussed about the upcoming activities and events of IEEE-AIUB Student branch and encouraging more students to become part of IEEE.
