Team Unknown Inventor from AIUB is one of the winners of ‘BICCHURON-19’

Team Unknown Inventor from AIUB became one of the winners of BICCHURON-19. BICCHURON-19 is a national competition which showcased innovative ideas on Renewable Energy. The national youth platform, Young Bangla, in association with the Power Cell of the Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources (MoPEMR) and Green Delta Insurance Company organized this competition. This competition comprised of three steps. The first step was online screening where 550 teams from all around Bangladesh was shortlisted for their innovative ideas on renewable energy. Then on the second step, 100 teams were shortlisted for Dhaka Pitching. Finally, in the last step only 30 teams amongst the 100 teams were selected for BICCHURON-19 National Camp and Grand Finale which took place at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Youth Development from December 7, 2019 to December 10, 2019. Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources was present in the Grand Finale and prize giving ceremony. It is of great pleasure and immense happiness to acknowledge that Team Unknown Inventor with other top 10 teams was declared Winners of the competition for their project “Electricity Generation from Soil (Earth-Battery)”. Mr. Nasrul Hamid, MP, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources acknowledged the team’s effort with crests and prize money of BDT Five Lacs. The team leader of Team Unknown Inventor is Md. Samiul Islam Borno (Student, Dept. of EEE, AIUB) and other team members are Iftakhar Ahmed Hridoy (Student, Dept. of EEE, AIUB), Sanjoy Das (Student, Dept. of EEE, AIUB) and Shoib Islam Unmesh (Student, Dept. of CSE, AIUB).
