On June 16, 2016, a talk show titled “Prospect of studying Accounting & Finance major in the professional world with some focus on higher studies in this area” was organized by the Department of Accounting & Finance to give the students an opportunity to link between academic and corporate world. The talk show was jointly arranged by Mr. Niaz Mohammad, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting and Mr. Joynal Abedin, Assistant Professor, Department of Finance, Faculty of Business Administration. The main objective of this talk show was to share the exposure of Accounting & Finance in the corporate organizations. The key Speaker was Mr. Sarker Md. Rezoan Hoque, Manager Business Partnering, Finance division; Robi Axiata Ltd. Mr. Sarker shared the functions of different departments in the corporate sector and clearly mentioned the role of accounting and finance professionals. He also shared the practical experiences towards the students about the importance of professional degrees in the field of accounting and finance like CA, CMA, CIMA, ACCA, CFA, CS etc.

The seminar was coordinated by Mr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Accounting & Finance with the kind presence of Prof. Dr. Charles Carillo Villanueva, Pro Vice Chancellor & Dean, FBA. Other faculty members of Accounting and Finance department were also present in this talk show.
