Talk Show on C4D Project with Prof. Dr. David Mould from Ohio University

Dr. David Mould, Professor Emeritus, Ohio University, held a discussion session with the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) and Faculty of Arts and Social science (FASS) of AIUB in Media Studio of the university. Four (4) member team from FBA and FASS has recently participated in a project organized and implemented by UNICEF upon the initiated by UGC, BD on “Inclusion of Communication for Development (C4D) Curriculum and Research in the existing curriculum of Universities in Bangladesh”. The project was initiated in August 2017 and after successful completion of different phases UNICEF BD and UGC of BD held one national Conference on “Fostering Communication for Development to achieve result for Children” on 29th April 2019 and followed by one Symposium participated in by universities from all over BD on 30th April 2019 at UGC Auditorium, BD.

An Echo seminar based on the project was held in AIUB on 5th May 2019 at 12:00 pm. Prof. Dr. Charles C. Villanueva, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, Vice President Academic, AIUB delivered the welcome notes. This was followed by 2 presentations conducted by the  faculty participants. Immediately after the presentation, Dr. David took the center stage with Ms. Farheen Hassan, faculty participant and Director of the BBA Program as the moderator of the talk show. The discussion session was very interesting and informative with the faculty members raising some questions for clarification especially on the impact of this project to the present curriculum of the university and the mechanics of implementation. Professor Dr. Tajul Islam , Dean, Faculty of Social Science (FASS), AIUB delivered the vote of thanks.

 Dr. David was also ushered by the organizers to view the library and the other facilities of the university. He was delighted and impressed of the modern library. The Talk Show  was an initiative of the UGC-UNICEF-C4D project team from AIUB.
