Department of Operations Management arranged a study tour to BBS Cables Limited at Gazipur on 22th November 2012. Study tour to observe the production operations in the industry sector is a relevant and enrichment activity of the business education. It is a vital part of the curriculum of the department of Operations Management. On arrival students were greeted and briefed by the management of the company who helped them to observe very closely manufacturing processes, product operations, quality control and assurance etc. The student also got a clear idea about how a raw material turns into its desired product. It was a good learning experience for the students to see the actual management operations. The department of operations management is giving thanks to the management of BBS Cables Limited for their all-out cooperation. We would also like to extend our gratitude especially to Engr. Abu Noman Howlader for his encouraging speech. We thank to Engr. Md Rezaul Karim and Engr. Syed Ferdous Raihan Kirmany for making this tour possible.
