A meeting between the WePOWER Regional Secretariat and the WePOWER Bangladesh National Chapter (BNC) Secretariat was successfully held on 30 June 2026 at American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). As the host institution of the WePOWER BNC Secretariat, AIUB facilitated the meeting by providing the venue and necessary logistical support, reinforcing its commitment to advancing collaboration and capacity building within the power and energy sector.

The chief guest of the meeting was Prof. Dr. Faiz Shah (Executive Director of the Yunus Center, Asian Institute of Technology (YCA)) from WePOWER Regional Secretariat, who was accompanied by Ms. Sadia Zahid, Communication Officer of the Yunus Center, AIT. The meeting was facilitated by Mr. Sohel Ahmed, Chief Executive of the WePOWER Bangladesh National Chapter Secretariat and coordinated by Ms. Susmita Ghosh, Additional Director of AIUB-IQAC.

The meeting was attended by focal points and representatives from partner organizations of the WePOWER Bangladesh National Chapter, including BREB, PGCB, DESCO, Grameen Shakti, IEEE Women in Engineering, EGCB, AIUB and BPMI. The session provided a valuable opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, share updates on ongoing initiatives, discuss future collaborative activities, and strengthen coordination among member organizations in support of WePOWER's mission of promoting greater participation and leadership of women in the energy sector.

The meeting concluded with productive discussions and a shared commitment to further strengthening partnerships, fostering knowledge exchange, and advancing the objectives of the WePOWER Bangladesh National Chapter through continued collaboration.
