Seminar titled “Widespace and it's technology stack”

On 6th March, 2014 a seminar entitled "Widespace and it's technology stack ", was organized by Department of Computer Science. Swedish Delegates from Widespace AB Headquarter conducted the seminar. Following are the topics they have presented:

• Introduction to Widespace by Henrik Stridsberg (Partner and CTO; Previous: Product Management Executive, Visma Group)

• JavaScript by Fredrik Andersson (Systems Architect and Team Lead; Previous: Owner of Two Part Media AB)

• Big Data analysis by Håkan Höglund (Data & Operations Manager; Previous: System Operations Manager, Visma Proceedo)

• SDK development VS App development by Mattias Nord (SDK Development Manager; Previous: Technical Service Manager W. Europe & Nordic, Product Development, Nokia)

The seminar commenced with an inspiring welcome speech by Prof. Dr. Charles. C. Villanueva, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean of Faculty of Business Administration. The seminar was very practical as it was emphasizing on the importance of practical experiences in development world. Presenters made the sessions very lively and interactive, motivating our students to participate in the discussion. The seminar came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. R. Tareque Moudud FCMA Director, Office of Placement & Alumni (OPA), Prof. Dr. Tafazzal Hossain Dean, Department of Computer Science was also present in the seminar. After that souvenir to the presenters were distributed by Dr. Tabin Hasan Assistant Prof. and Head (Graduate Program), Department of Computer Science, Mr. Mohammad Saiedur Rahaman Assistant Prof. and Special Assistant, Department of Computer Science and Mr. Abhijit Bhowmik Assistant Prof., Department of Computer Science. Mr. Debajyoti Karmaker Assistant Prof., Department of Computer Science, Mr. Md. Hafizur Rahman Assistant Prof. and Special Assistant, Department of Computer Science, Mr. A.G.M Zaman Lecturer, Department of Computer Science were also present in the seminar.
The seminar was very informative and helpful for the students as it provides idea about latest technology and they also collected CV from last year students. The seminar ended with a fervent hope that it has enhanced the awareness of the students on how to be successful in their desire to work in the development world and WIDESPACE distributed snacks, Company Pad, Company Pen among the students.
