On September 21, 2023, the Faculty of Engineering (FE)of American International University-Bangladesh(AIUB) organized a seminar titled “Technology and Future-Looking the World Ahead of Time,” supported by the AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES). The seminar started at 10 a.m. with over 100 participants including 50 faculty members of FE at the Multipurpose Hall, Building D, AIUB. The purpose of the seminar was to inspire early researchers to develop their passion for future technologies, learn how to use technology efficiently and ethically, explore positive and negative aspects of technology, explore opportunities, and a guideline to succeed as a technologist.

The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Mannan (Associate Dean, FE, AIUB), where he discussed the importance of technology and its future implications. Following that, the invited speaker, Ms. Sharmin Haq Totini (Process Engineer, Intel Corporation, USA) was warmly welcomed by the audience. She started the session by giving a brief knowledge about the upcoming technologies and how we may improve and secure the entire future technology. She also added how we can efficiently use the power of AI, laser systems, practical aspects of nanotechnology, and microchips to create a better future. Furthermore, she shared her practical experiences and professional journey at the Intel Corporation and inspired the audiences. Then, a short Q&A session was held for the participants.

At the end of the program, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman (Pro Vice-Chancellor, AIUB) concluded the session with his closing thank you note and handed over the token of appreciation from AIUB to the invited speaker.
