Engineering Student's Association of Bangladesh (ESAB) AIUB Unit Face organized a seminar titled “Seminar on Volunteerism” for students who are enthusiastic and hardworking and would like to volunteer for different workshop and seminar organized by the ESAB AIUB Unit Face. With the massive response of more than 150 participants signing up to be a part of ESAB-AIUB UF’s journey, the seminar took place at AIUB, Room-266, Building-2, on 22^nd March, 2015.The seminar was a morale booster for the enthusiastic participants with motivational speeches in the field of volunteerism and provided an overview about the activities of ESAB along with its mission and vision.   The event started with National anthem and the inaugural speech was delivered by Mr. Md. Saniat Rahman Zishan (Assistant Professor, Department of EEE & Special Assistant, OSA, AIUB) who welcomed all the participants and inspired them. It was then followed by the exhibition of ESAB’s promotional video which conveyed the message of ESAB’s goal, motto and mission and most importantly its activities. After that an overview of the event was given to the participants.

The second phase of the program began with honorable speaker, Mr. Ebad Zahir (Assistant Professor & Special Assistant, Department of EEE, AIUB) sharing his own views and experiences with different voluntary organizations. He described the networking systems of an organization and motivated the participants to bring out the best from them with some organization skills and leadership potentials. Right after, continuation of the motivational speech for volunteerism was done by Dr. Tabin Hasan (Head, Graduate Program, Department of Computer Science, AIUB). He explained volunteerism as a unique platform for skill development, socialization and emphasized on the power of working unit composed of people of vast mind-sets. The third phase of the seminar was an interactive session on volunteerism between the participants and the AIUB Unit Face members. Mr. Mashrur H. Shurid(Program Coordination, Development and Planning Secretary Central Executive Committee, ESAB) provided an inspirational speech to motivate the audience. He inspired everyone to work hard to get success and described the process of event management to the participants. Md. Arafat Rahman Tusher (Associate Face member, ESAB AIUB Unit Face) and Md. Tahmidul Abedin (Face Member, IT, AIUB Unit Face) explained more about volunteerism and the working mechanism of ESAB and talked about all the achievements that AIUB Unit Face had achieved. The program ended with an informative speech from the coordinator of ESAB AIUB Unit Face Mr. SK. Abu Rohan. Seminar was also graced by the presence of motivators of ESAB AIUB Unit Face Ms. Tajbia Karim (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB) and Mr. Tawsif Ibne Alam (Lecturer, Department of EEE, AIUB). The entire program was hosted by Ms. Siam Haque. Face members, associate face members, organizing and working members of ESAB attended the event.
