On Monday, May 12, 2025, the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Faculty of Engineering, AIUB organized a seminar titled “Vector Group of 3-Phase Transformers” at the Multipurpose Hall, D-Building, AIUB, Supported by AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES). The seminar featured Dr. Mohammad Tawhidul Alam (Professor, Faculty, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering) as the esteemed speaker.
One of the seminar’s key highlights was a discussion on how various winding configurations influence transformer behavior and system performance. Through real-world case studies and clear visual aids, attendees learned to identify common misalignment issues and implement corrective strategies. This seminar is part of the Faculty of Engineering’s ongoing efforts to bridge academic learning with industry practice by exploring critical engineering topics. The technical presentation was followed by a focused Q/A session. Dr. Mohammad Tawhidul Alam (Professor, Faculty, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering) expressed gratitude to all for their remarkable efforts.
Mr. Nafiz Ahmed Chisty (Associate Professor, Head, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering) concluded the session by presenting a token of appreciation to Dr. Mohammad Tawhidul Alam (Professor, Faculty, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering). The seminar ended with a commemorative group photograph, capturing all attendees' collaborative spirit and insights.
